You’ll Always Have the Burden With You

Remember how I always wanted to write a specfic story about the tax code? That story, “You’ll Always Have the Burden With You,” has been sold to Dagan Books for the IN SITU anthology.

Now this isn’t a specfic story involving the tax code PLUS Lisp programming, which I have yet to write. But I’m halfway to completing my goal now.

Pneumatic Tube Transport and the Tax Code

I’ve been thinking for years about writing a specfic story involving the tax code. I’ve also been thinking for years about writing a story involving pneumatic tube transport.

And now I’ve done both. (No, the PTT story is not really about “an Internet made of tubes” — though if you agree that the railroad was the Victorian Internet, then the analogy may apply to my story as well.)

Now we’ll see if I can get them published.
